In the morning: Elephant riding .
Yok Don National Park is a unique Park of 30 National Parks servising elephant riding in Vietnam. Join in this service, visitors can ride elephant in the forest and see the exciting activities such as using the trunk to collect plants for food, uprooting trees, clearing the way…
Visitors can also ride elephants crossing Serepok river or streams, watching the waterfalls, hearing the story about hunting and taming wild elephants. Discovering interesting customs, traditions, taboos of elephant keepers.
Hiking:
You will walk 15km through the primary forest and discover dipterocarp forest ecosystem.”Viet nam’s unique eco – tourism site for dry open forest of dipterocarps in yok don”. You will learn much about the wonders of dipterocarp forest.
The guide will choose a nice place for picnic lunch in the forest.
Continue the journey to the Buddha’s waterfall. You can relax and swim in waterfall.
In the afternoon: Boating on Serepork river.
According to Lao language “Buon” is a village “Don” is an island. So we understand that “Buon Don” is village on islands. Buon Don is set beside the Serepok river with many small islands. It is very convenience to live. Serepok means big river, which flows through the Buon Don village. The beginning of river is from two rivers(Krong No is male river and Krong Ana is female river). The Serepork river follow from east to west to Cambodia and join in Mekong River system. Therefore, Serepok river called the river flowing backward. The river is 332km long. If you have the opportunity, you should join a boat tour to explore the particular river.
Visitting Jang Lanh vallage. .
The vallage settled long ago on the buffer zone of Yok Don National Park. Ethnic minority people here is mainly Ede, M’nông and people migrated from other places such as Laos, Tay, Muong … create a multi-ethnic culture. They have customs and habits different from other ethnic groups. Traditional festivals are very especial in West Highlands.
