ITINERARY

Day 1PICK UP AT THE AIRPORT - CENTER OF SAIGON

Arrive Tan Son Nhat international airport, our tour guide will meet you and transfer you to hotel for check in. Free at leisure, overnight in Saigon.

Day 2CU CHI TUNNELS & SAIGON CITY TOUR (B, L, -)

After your breakfast, your guide will meet and pick you up for Cu Chi tunnels, The tunnels of Củ Chi are an immense network of connecting tunnels located in the Củ Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The Củ Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War and were the Viet Cong’s base of operations for the Tet Offensive in 1968.

Viet Cong soldiers used the tunnels as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches, and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters. The tunnel systems were of great importance to the Viet Cong in their resistance to American forces and helped to counter the growing American military presence.

Then Saigon city tour with highlights:

Thich Quang Duc Memorial Monument, In 1963, the monk Thich Quang Duc set himself on fire to protest against anti-Buddhism policies of the Southern government. His sacrifice became legend and motion for many revolutions. To memorialize him, the Buddhists built a monument right at the place of his self-immolation.
Secret weapon bunker, hidden in a corner of old town in Saigon, a secret weapon bunker was built by Vietnamese soldiers to secretly transfer weapons for Independence Palace attack. Here you will explore the secret bunker, as well as make a pose with weapons inside.
Thien Hau Pagoda, with the history of 300 years, Thien Hau template hides itself from touristy site, laying on a street of the old China Town. Visiting here you will be stunned with those ancient beautiful architectures, together with the history that the Chinese-Vietnamese brought here when they immigrated here hundreds of years ago.
Stop at Ben Thanh market for free sightseeing before going back to your hotel. See you tomorrow.

Day 3MEKONG DELTA (B, L, -)

An unforgettable way of seeing the Mekong Delta to drive along the provincial roads down on the Southern region of Vietnam through paddy rice field, pine-apple plantation, orchard and small hamlets (2 hours’ drive). After arrival in My Tho, you will ride on a local motor boat along Dragon Island, Unicorn Island, Phoenix Island, Turtle Island and stop at the famous Unicorn Island. While at the Unicorn Island, you will visit natural pure honey at the bee keeping farm. Taste some honey tea, rice wine, banana wine.

After that we walk to another area on the Unicorn Island to visit the tropical fruit garden, enjoy the fruits & listening to the Southern traditional music . Walking on the village and taking rowing boat along the natural water coconut canal to see the local lifestyle in the Mekong Delta. From there, you will continue your motor boat trip to Ben Tre province to visit a handmade coconut candy workshop. Then transfer to local restaurant for lunch. After your lunch, take horse cart tour on the village street in Ben Tre.

Visit the famous Buddhist work that visitors should not miss, which is Vinh Trang Pagoda, an unique temple with the convergence of Eastern and Western cultures. Back to Saigon for free of dinner. Overnight in HCMC.

Day 4SAIGON – BIEN HOA – SAIGON (B, - , -)

Today we would like the group’s permission to take you back to Nhon Trach – Bien Hoa (Dong Nai), a place that surely holds many memories for you during the years participating in the battlefield here. Leaving Saigon, catching a flight to central Vietnam, we will have 3 days in Da Nang – Hoi An. We are honored to show you our little beautiful hometown through the walks into backstreets to discover inside perspectives and secrets.

Explore the real local home-life of Hoi An in the hidden alleys and back roads, Hoi An is famous for its traditional, harmonious architectural beauty of ancient houses, walls and roads. Although hundreds of years have passed through many events, this place still retains the ancient, quiet, weathered beauty of each tiled roof, row of trees… Hoi An ancient town is recognized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage world in 1999.

Japanese covered bridge, Old house of Tan Ky, Hoi An traditional art performance theater, Fujian Assembly hall…are typical and outstanding destinations when you come here.

Day 6HOI AN (B, - , -)

Start your tour with a pick-up from your hotel in Hoi An. Join a lantern-making class and create your own Hoi An handmade lantern, a symbol of good luck, happiness, and wealth. Learn about lantern-making crafts with silk and bamboo to create lanterns of different shapes. Keep what you made as a handmade souvenir for your home.

After that, transfer to Cam Thanh Village and learn how to paddle the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat. Enjoy a hands-on experience of round net and cast net fishing with local fishermen. See a basket boat performance before being dropped off back at your hotel.

Day 7HOI AN – DA NANG – HA NOI (B, - , - )

Breakfast and check – out your hotel, then transfer to Da Nang City, visit Marble Moutains which are considered as “Landscape of the south sky” before arriving at Da Nang airport, check in for the flight to Hanoi.

Arrival in Ha Noi and explore the heart of Vietnam at the amazing Ho Chi Minh presidential complex. Tour Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, and the incredible pagoda temples. After that, tour guide will transfer for Hoan Kiem lake, visit Ngoc Son temple. Then wander around the trading area in the Old Quarter, walking and view the old streets. A Ha Noi night would never be complete if the most quintessential type of Vietnamese art is missed: Water puppet, this art form appeared in the tenth century and become unique to the North of Vietnam. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 8HA NOI – HA LONG BAY (B, L , D )

Our guide and shuttle bus will pick you up at lobby of hotel and start journey east to Halong Bay, through picturesque rice-farming villages of the Red River Delta, where we see everyday Vietnamese village life.

On arrival, we board a beautiful traditional junk and spend a full day and night cruising the bay’s 3000 magnificent limestone islets.

Enjoy a typical lunch in the luxury dining room while the cruise slowly glides between the numerous small islands andthe sea-green color.
Drop anchor for swimming or just simply sunbathe on our cruise (private, wild and fresh air). Also, you can kayak under our tour guide’s instructions to explore many beautiful spots.

Light breakfast is served and free for traditional bamboo sampan or kayaking activities in the Light cave area – a perfect destination for the adventurous visitor who would love to row or kayak on calm water surface while enjoying the cave’s impressive stonewalls.

After your brunch, check-out your cruise, it’s clear sailing back to the main harbour and the return Hanoi in the afternoon. Drop at hotel in Hanoi. Free time on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 10CITY TOUR – DEPARTURE (B, - , - )
