From 31 May to 9 June 2019, in Bac Ha Town, Lao Cai Province, Lao Cai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with Bac Ha District People’s Committee will organize Bac Ha White Plateau Festival.
The event aims to promote the beauty of culture and people of Bac Ha, create Bac Ha’s new tourism products, build a brand of White Plateau Festival to attract tourists.
Accordingly, the opening ceremony of Bac Ha White Plateau Festival in 2019 associated with the Street Festival and the program “White Horse Plateau” will be held on 1 June, 2019 at the Square in front of Hoang A Tuong Palace (Bac Ha Town). The art show will introduce the unique cultural value of Bac Ha.
From 1 to 9 June 2019, Bac Ha plum festival will be held in Na Hoi, Ta Chai, Ban Pho communes, displaying specialties Tam Hoa plum and many agricultural products. In particular, the Organizing Board will also organize bicycle tour riding through plum-growing areas and flower valley.
A rose and wine festival at Hoang A Tuong Palace will take place on 31 May, 1, 2, 7, 8 June 2019. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the romantic space of roses in Hoang A Tuong Palace. In addition, visitors will enjoy cultural shows, folk games, traditional crafts of local people…
During the Festival, there will be a photo exhibition with the theme of “White Horse Plateau” to display beautiful pictures of people, natural landscapes, culture of ethnic groups and horses. The highlight of the festival is a horse race, to be held on 7 to 8 June at Bac Ha Town’s stadium.
