Working Permit Card (WP)

PConditions on granting working permit certificate for foreigners in order to work in Vietnam

  1. Be sufficient qualification on civil behavior as prescribed by law.
  2. Be good health in accordance with requirements of work.
  3. Be a manager, executive director, expert or technical worker.
  4. Not being the offender or being examined for penal liability according to the regulations of Vietnamese law and foreign law.
  5. To be approved in writing by the competent state agency on the employment of foreign laborers.

A dossier to apply for granting working permit certificate for foreigners in order to apply temporary residence cards in Vietnam includes:

  1. An application for a working permit certificate for a foreigner according to the regulations of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Ministry.
  2. A health certificate or medical certificate (within 12 months) (Cho Ray hospital or Thong Nhat Hospital or Van Hanh Hospital) (We could help for making an appoinment – Checking your health in Vietnam) 
  3. The judicial record as prescribed.
  4. Documents prove position of foreigner such as manager executive director, expert, technical worker, teacher (university degree, certificate of oversea working experience).
  5. Two color photos: size 4×6 (white background, without glasses).
  6. Passport (copy with notarized stamp of original certificate).
  7. The form as prescribed shall be stamped legally and shown signature of the legal representative
  8. Company legal document (duplicate)

Where to apply: Depending on the labor management agency of the enterprise, the enterprise applies for re-issuance of working permit certificate at the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in the province or city. Management board of industrial zone in provinces or cities. Enterprises need to check to know where they should apply.
