From 21 to 25 June 2019, Ha Noi Paragliding Club in collaboration with Quang Ngai provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize a paragliding in Thoi Loi mountain, Ly Son island, Quang Ngai province.
For the first time held in Ly Son island, the paragliding competition aims to contributing to affirming the island sovereignty and promoting sea and island tourism.
The take-off point is located on the top of Thoi Loi mountain, Ly Son island, one of the five dormant volcanoes on the island, with a height of nearly 170m above sea level.
The festival is expected to attract 100 Vietnamese and foreign pilots, mainly from paragliding clubs across the country including Hanoi Paragliding Club, Vietwings Hanoi, Dong Bac Paragliding, News Sky Paragliding, Da Nang Paragliding Saigon Paragliding, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia and Japan.
The prize structure includes the national prize (for Vietnamese athletes), the general prize (scoring Vietnamese and foreign athletes) with a total prize value of 50 million VND.
